KB #0016: Upgrading to Rfc Connector 4

Technical requirements

• Support for the „classic“ RFC library has been removed. The classic RFC library is not supported by SAP any more since 2016, so you should really upgrade to NWRFC as soon as possible
• Besides that, there are no deprecations or incompatible changes between Rfc Connector 3 and 4.

License upgrade

For Rfc Connector 4, a new license key is required. If you have an existing license for Rfc Connector 3, you can order an upgrade through the order page.

Customers who have bought a license for Rfc Connector 3 (either regular or upgrade license) or a support extension after January 1st, 2025 are eligible for a free upgrade. Just submit the order form with your details and license key, we will send you a new key for Rfc Connector 4 free of charge.
